For most this won't seem to "Witchy", but this is a floor cloth I designed using coverlet inspired colors and shapes from the 1600's; the time of the Salem Witch Trials.

Floor cloths are very durable, easy to clean and pet friendly. They are a wonderful way to add more art to your home....art you can walk on. I personally use floor cloths in most rooms of my home, including under the kitchen table. They all still look great! All of my work is created on raw heavy weight canvas. I prepare the canvas for paint by preshrinking the fabric and then machine sewing a generous hem with mitered corners. The decorated side will have two to three coats of the base color before the designing process even begins. Sanding is done between coats and finally the design is painted. After paint cures I apply several coats of polyurethane to both sides. This will protect from daily use and moisture. The finishing touch is rubbing on and buffing off some Johnson's floor wax for extra protection.

I prime both sides of floor cloth and add two coats of base color to decorated side. Sanding is done between coats and finally the design is painted. After paint cures I apply several coats of polyurethane to both sides. This will protect from moisture and traffic. The finishing touch is rubbing on and buffing off some floor wax for extra protection.
Care and upkeep is so easy, simply use a damp mop and wipe clean. Avoid using abrasive cleansers.
